Game Controls & Keyboard Shortcuts

Master the controls to navigate the laboratory efficiently and escape before time runs out.

Movement Controls

Use WASD keys to move your character through the laboratory. Movement is smooth and continuous — hold the key to keep moving in that direction.

Interaction Controls

Click on highlighted objects to interact with them. When an object is interactive, your cursor may change or the object will show a visual indicator.

Utility Controls

Flashlight

The flashlight is essential in dark areas of the laboratory. Some clues are only visible under flashlight illumination — always check dark walls and surfaces with your flashlight on.

Game Menu

Press TAB to open the game menu where you can:

• View your inventory of collected items
• Check your current objectives
• Access game settings

Control Tips for New Players

1. Click inside the game first — The browser needs focus on the game iframe before keyboard controls work
2. Keep one hand on WASD, one on the mouse — This is the most efficient control scheme
3. Don't forget the flashlight — Many players miss clues in dark areas because they forget to press F
4. Use TAB regularly — Check your inventory to see what items you've collected and might be able to use

Troubleshooting Controls

Controls not responding?

• Click inside the game area to ensure it has focus
• Make sure no browser extension is intercepting keyboard shortcuts
• Try refreshing the page

Mouse click not working on objects?

• Make sure you're clicking on an interactive object (look for visual highlights)
• Try moving closer to the object
• Some objects require specific items in your inventory before they become interactive
